  3. Chapter 13 was a good closure to the book and it had some interesting information , especially on the state licensure/certification requirements that some states have.
First my question "Is our teaching philosophy guided by our morals or by the methods made availiable to us as teachers?"
The fact I found most interesting is the idea of a hiring committee. It seems that the superintendent would have final say on all hired jobs, to my self the idea of a committee hiring people is absurd because there would be too many cooks in the kitchen and too many different opinions.

Finally my quote "Twitter is an excellent place for new teachers to connect, collaborate, share ideas, and struggles with educators around the world." I'm going to say that for a certain group of people , maybe this would work. But I couldnt help but think about the female teacher who was suspended for trash talking her students on a web blog, much like Twitter, it wouldnt be long before someone derailed this by specifically mentioning a student by name and harrasing them.

  10. Of the entire book this chapter was the most overwhelming and most realistic. It was not hard or even complicated; it was actually very straight forward. It just makes you realize it’s here, you’re going to be a teacher and in charge and have to go out. To me this is scary, but exciting. Chapter 13 answered a lot of good questions that I have been wondering and got me that much closer to my future career but the one question I have is how do I find out the different rules and regulations for each state? What if I do not want to teach in Missouri, or better yet can’t? How do I find out the rules?

“’ Your first year’s goal is to survive. Nothing more.’” This is scary. Is it really that bad? How does everyone not just quit then after the first year?

Something that really helped me seem to be knowing that there are more teacher mentoring programs now than ever.
